Miss Anti-Gay U.S.A

A topic hot on everyone’s lips today is Miss U.S.A. and her anti-gay marriage “cause”. Whether you agree with gay marriage or not, I am sure you can agree that when one goes on an anti-anything media tour, you better not have any skeletons in your closet. Not only does Miss Carrie Prejean have skeletons, but she is a walking talking poster board for what not to do at pageants if you have any realistic hope of winning. Miss Prejean answered the original question asked of her by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton with an answer that showed her lack of intelligence on the subject of gay marriage; as well as her inability to think before she speaks. After enraging almost the entire country with her answer, the beauty queen stirred up a media frenzy to earn support for the cause of straight marriage. I was unaware that straight marriage was actually a cause that needed to be fought for. I am aware of the ploys and P.R. stunts that everyday “nobodies” use to get their fifteen minutes of fame, however; and Miss Prejean has pulled out all the stops to climb the ladder to fame.

Carrie Prejean’s sudden defense of Christianity and the sanctity of marriage prompted others to hop on the bandwagon as well. I get the impression that those same people quickly hopped off as soon as they discovered that Miss Christianity U.S.A. has breast implants and had previously posed, underage, for some topless photos. She then admitted to the pageant panel that she had posed for the photo in her efforts to obtain employment as a Victoria’s Secret model. Someone should let Miss Prejean know that just because Victoria Secret models often wear angel wings it does not mean that the ladies are going to heaven. She then assured them that this photo was the only one of its kind in existence. For whatever reason, the pageant panel seemed to be willing to accept this farce of an excuse while they figured out what to do with her.

A new topless photo has emerged of Miss Christianity U.S.A. and I am sure she is scrambling to come up with ways to redeem herself while staying on the forefront of the media. The Miss U.S.A. contest is not meant to be a stepping stone for Christians to spread “the word” or to push one’s beliefs onto others. The Miss U.S.A. Pageant is meant to be a contest of beauty, not brains. Miss Prejean should have kept her mouth shut and continued to do what she does best which is showcasing her outer beauty. Prejean has certainly proved that this is the only form of beauty that she possesses.
